Stocks continued their bull market tear on Thursday, with the S&P 500 closing at a new record high of 5,029. But don’t expect the run to continue, says Lukasz Tomicki, founder of LRT Capital Management, a hedge fund managing $120 million in assets. “I think the market is pricing in perfection,” Tomicki told Business Insider. Another reason he’s bearish on the economy’s prospects is because the money supply is declining, meaning liquidity in the economy is shrinking. The cheaper end of the hotel industry is typically less volatile in an economic downturn, Tomicki said.

Donald Trump slammed Gavin Newsom's stewardship of California during a recent Fox News interview. Trump argued that Newsom would be an "easy" opponent if President Biden somehow left the WH race. Biden easily won the South Carolina Democratic primary and has given no indications he'd reverse course on 2024. Gavin Newsom would be an "easy" presidential opponent after speculating that he might not face President Joe Biden in the November general election. Michelle Obama has previously panned the idea of running for president and Newsom last year said he was firmly behind Biden's candidacy.

CNN has reached out to Heuermann’s attorney, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Suffolk County Police Department for comment. Here is a timeline of the Gilgo Beach killings, how the investigation unfolded and what ultimately led to Heuermann’s arrest. Two days later, investigators discovered the remains of three additional victims – Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Amber Costello and Megan Waterman – strewn across a half-mile stretch on Gilgo Beach. BEIJING, Dec 4 (Reuters) - The biggest pig breeders in China, consumer of fully half the world's pork, seem to have bitten off more than they can chew. More huge losses are expected next year, putting China's pig enterprises under pressure to slim down their breeding herds and sell off farms, many of which are sitting empty. But now, especially given the companies' high debt levels, the analyst said: "It's hard for them to borrow any money from the banks." That follows a 17% surge in the first nine months of this year at China's 15 big market-listed breeders even as they reported 200 billion yuan in combined net losses. China's agriculture ministry has warned of heavier losses for the sector in early 2024 than a year ago and urged pig producers to cut output.

President Biden's 2020 victory in Georgia was one of the biggest Democratic breakthroughs that year. A screen displays the logo for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc. at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in New York City, U.S., June 5, 2023. REUTERS/Brendan McDermid/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsNov 21 (Reuters) - U.S. budget hotel operator Wyndham Hotels and Resorts (WH.N) said on Tuesday a new letter from Choice Hotels (CHH.N) "represents a step backwards" and the terms outlined are not in the best interests of Wyndham or its shareholders. Choice had made a $7.8 billion cash-and-stock acquisition offer worth $49.50 in cash and 0.324 shares of its common stock for each share of Wyndham. It said it first approached Wyndham in April with an $80 per share offer, which it later bumped up to $85 and then to $90 per share. A potential merger would have married Choice Hotels' brands such as Econo Lodge, Quality Inn and Clarion with Wyndham's Days Inn and Travelodge, offering inflation-hit customers a wide choice of affordable hotels.
